Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Day)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $40 - $40 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, grooming, and mobility
Monitor and accurately record vital signs and promptly report any changes in patient condition
Support nursing and mental health staff with daily care and consistent patient observation
Maintain accurate, timely documentation to ensure continuity of care
Ensure a safe, clean, and secure environment for patients and staff
Follow facility policies, procedures, and security protocols to maintain a structured care setting

Qualifications

Active CNA certification in the state of California
Minimum 1 year of CNA experience within the last 12 months
BLS certification (AHA) preferred
Ability to work effectively in a mental health and correctional setting
Ability to pass an extensive background check and clearance process
Highly reliable with excellent attendance and able to commit to no planned time off for the assignment

Education

Active CNA certification (California) required

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance
Skilled in patient observation and monitoring vital signs
Strong documentation and record-keeping abilities
Familiarity with security protocols in correctional healthcare
Excellent communication and observational skills
Professional demeanor and adaptability to a structured environment
