Bill Rate: $44.64-$60.26/hr

Roles & Responsibilities

Operate CT and general diagnostic radiography equipment to perform high-quality imaging studies
Prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and necessary medications; ensure readiness for each patient
Prepare and administer contrast media and perform intravenous contrast injections following protocols
Ensure image quality and perform quality assurance checks to support accurate diagnoses
Enforce radiation protection and safety standards for patients and staff
Document procedures accurately and adhere to ARRT Standards of Ethics and facility policies
Provide compassionate patient care, position patients correctly, and communicate clearly to reduce anxiety
Collaborate with the Radiology team and support the department’s service excellence mission

Qualifications

Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services (required)
Approved CPR certification (required)
Ability to obtain ARRT registration and Radiologic Technologist fluoroscopy permit within 6 months of hire (required to be obtained)
Radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification (desired)
Current ARRT license (desired)
Advanced CT certification (desired)
Two years diagnostic x-ray experience (desired); one year CT experience (desired)

Education

Current California CRT (Radiologic Technology) required
CPR certification required
Advanced CT certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and patient positioning
Strong patient care and communication skills
Proficiency in radiation physics, radiation protection, and radiobiology
Ability to perform quality assurance and maintain image quality standards
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
