Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee the Radiology program and supervise daily activities to ensure high-quality imaging services
• Track incoming radiology studies to confirm proper submission and timely reporting
• Provide PACS training and support to staff to maintain efficient imaging workflows
• Assist with radiology transcription issues and ensure accurate documentation
• Ensure radiology equipment is maintained, inspected, and compliant with regulatory requirements
• Create and maintain radiology policies and procedures that support safe, effective care
• Manage the radiation protection monitoring program for all employees exposed to radiation
• Collaborate with clinic administrators, medical directors, and Finance to ensure quality and optimize revenue capture, including maintenance of the chargemaster
• Ensure all quality assurance and quality control activities are performed and documented
• Perform lead apron testing and verify staff competency for radiologic exams
• Conduct timely employee evaluations and provide supervisory support and mentorship
• Perform any radiologic exams for which you are qualified and competent

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) required
• Registered Mammographer preferred
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 5 years experience in Radiology Management and supervision
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Radiology Technologist
• PACS training required; CT and MRI technologist experience preferred
• Familiarity with MQSA requirements and federal, state, and accreditation regulations relevant to radiology services

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

• PACS implementation and troubleshooting
• Radiation safety and radiation protection program management
• Quality assurance and quality control for imaging services
• Radiology equipment maintenance and inspection oversight
• Radiology policies and procedures development
• Digitized imaging and MQSA compliance
• Charge master maintenance and revenue capture strategies
• Effective oral and written communication and staff supervision
• Lead apron testing and radiologic competency assessment
• Comfort working in multiple clinical computer systems
