Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead patient care on your unit by coordinating daily nursing activities and priorities
• Provide direct clinical care and make timely decisions to ensure patient safety
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Mentor and support nursing staff, promoting best practices and professional development
• Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow to optimize unit operations
• Ensure compliance with policies, documentation standards, and quality initiatives

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in the state of practice
• Proven experience as a Charge Nurse or clinical leadership role
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS preferred where applicable
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and team leadership skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and state RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of patient assessment and clinical care protocols
• Experience with care coordination and patient flow management
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation best practices
• Skilled at conflict resolution, delegation, and staff development
• Comfortable implementing quality improvement and safety initiatives
