Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly identify abnormal rhythms
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely and according to policy
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings in the medical record
• Respond to patient emergencies and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and self-care
• Maintain specialty-specific competencies and participate in required testing
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (RN) - required
• BLS and ACLS certifications - required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications - required
• Experience in Med/Surg and telemetry monitoring (preferred)
• Ability to pass facility-required health screenings, drug screen, and competency testing

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient cardiac/telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in acute care settings
• Skilled in medication administration and IV management
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork to coordinate patient care
• Comfortable with specialty competency testing and skills validation
