Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care for ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret complex hemodynamic and ventilator data to guide care
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced interventions safely and accurately
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—physicians, respiratory therapists, and others—to develop and implement care plans
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency interventions
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and critical care processes
• Document clinical care thoroughly and communicate handoffs clearly to maintain continuity

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of assignment (or compact license where applicable)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) strongly preferred
• Current certifications relevant to critical care (e.g., CCRN) are a plus
• Prior ICU experience and comfort with ventilators, vasoactive drips, and advanced monitoring
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-acuity environments and as part of a team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred)

• Critical care assessment and interventions
• Ventilator management and respiratory support
• Cardiac monitoring and interpretation
• Medication administration, titration, and IV infusion management
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation and handoff best practices
• Team collaboration, patient advocacy, and family communication
