Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction of supervising OTR to help patients regain independence
• Assist with evaluations and contribute meaningful observations to plans of care
• Implement individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs, transfers, and functional mobility
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Document patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families to support carryover of therapeutic gains at home

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
• Eligible for or currently holding Montana COTA licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by employer
• Comfortable working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
• Professional communication skills and reliable documentation practices

Education

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field
• COTA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven skills in ADL training, adaptive equipment recommendations, and therapeutic activities
• Knowledge of rehab principles and common interventions for adult patients
• Good clinical judgment and ability to follow care plans
• Strong interpersonal skills for patient and family education
• Familiarity with clinical documentation and basic EMR workflows
