Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive adult transthoracic and stress echocardiograms accurately and efficiently
• Operate ultrasound equipment and capture high-quality diagnostic images
• Collaborate with cardiologists to ensure studies meet clinical standards
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain steps clearly, and ensure comfort and safety
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the medical record
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and device maintenance procedures
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through compassionate, professional care

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Sonography from an accredited program
• RDCS or RCS credential in Adult Echocardiography required prior to start
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant echocardiography experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team

Education

• Associate's degree in Sonography (accredited sonography program required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in adult echocardiography and stress echocardiography techniques
• Proficient in cardiac imaging principles and optimizing ultrasound settings
• Knowledgeable in patient positioning and procedural safety
• Comfortable with electronic health records and documentation best practices
• Attention to detail, critical thinking, and a patient-centered approach
