Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care during the overnight shift, ensuring comfort and dignity
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff promptly
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility with proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
• Communicate clearly with the care team to ensure continuity of care during shift changes
• Help create a calm, restful environment for patients overnight

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• Current California CNA certification or eligibility to work under California regulations
• Valid, verifiable work authorization for the U.S.
• Recent clinical experience preferred; confident in basic patient care tasks
• Comfortable working overnight and responding to changing patient needs
• Basic computer/documentation skills for charting care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient-centered care and bedside manner
• Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Good communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced setting
• Attention to detail for accurate charting and handoffs
