Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Assess patients frequently and respond to changes in condition promptly
• Administer medications and titrate drips safely and accurately
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and advanced monitoring equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to create and follow care plans
• Lead and participate in emergent interventions and code responses when needed
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery plans

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Prior ICU or critical care experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• BSN preferred when available

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in critical care assessments and interventions
• Experience with ventilator management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Familiarity with medication administration and IV infusion therapy
• Comfortable managing central lines, arterial lines, and other critical care devices
• Skilled in clear, concise documentation and handoff communication
• Team-oriented mindset and problem-solving under pressure
