Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid triage and prioritize care in a fast-paced ER setting
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to deliver efficient patient care
• Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and escalate concerns promptly
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the EHR
• Educate patients and families about care plans, follow-up, and discharge instructions
• Maintain infection control practices and adhere to department protocols

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Emergency Room experience; comfort with high-acuity patients
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• Current TB screening and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities; reliable and professional

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage and rapid assessment skills
• IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care
• Familiarity with common ER procedures and acute care interventions
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and accurate charting
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks
• Patient education, de-escalation techniques, and family communication
