Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality telemetry nursing care, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings clearly to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care in the EHR
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and other nurses to develop and adjust patient plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
• Act quickly and confidently in urgent situations to stabilize and escalate care as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license for California (or compact RN license where applicable)
• Experience working on telemetry units or with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Current BLS required; ACLS and other advanced certifications preferred
• Comfortable with 12-hour night/overnight shifts and per-diem scheduling
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and documentation in electronic health records
• Excellent patient assessment and triage skills
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across disciplines
• Familiarity with hospital safety protocols and infection control practices
