Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate psychiatric nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
- Monitor and assess patients with diagnoses including dementia and bipolar disorder
- Collaborate with the care team to support patients in a 26-bed inpatient behavioral health unit
- Maintain a safe environment while following unit protocols and seclusion procedures
- Float to med-surg and OB units when needed, bringing flexibility and adaptability
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Utah or compact state
- BLS certification required
- Experience floating outside of psych highly preferred
- Ability to work every third weekend and holidays
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work with geriatric psych and dementia patients
- Comfortable with 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratios
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
