Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neuro-telemetry patients including those recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and spinal surgeries
Monitor and interpret EKGs while safely titrating critical drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver fast-paced, patient-centered care on a busy 32-bed unit
Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR and participate in bedside handoff reporting
Float to other telemetry units as needed while ensuring excellent continuity of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience
Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
Neuro experience highly preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam and skills lab on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills
Experience safely titrating cardiac and insulin drips
Comfortable caring for trached patients and managing complex neuro cases
Proficient with Cerner EMR and WOW documentation
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
