Registered Nurse - CVOR Scrub
Location: Albany, New York

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with on-call shifts (8-10 per month, 4:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons, interventional radiologists, and nurse practitioners during complex cardiac and vascular procedures
- Prepare the operating room table, tools, and equipment prior to surgery ensuring everything is ready for success
- Maintain sterility and safety standards before, during, and after every procedure
- Provide emotional support to patients and their family members throughout their surgical journey
- Collaborate with the circulating nurse to monitor vitals and assess skin integrity
- Document surgical details accurately in the patient's electronic health record
- Perform thorough postoperative needle, sponge, and instrument counts
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York
- BLS certification required
- Previous scrub nurse experience in vascular and cardiac surgery preferred
- CNOR certification preferred
- Strong organization, time management, and critical-thinking skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in CVOR scrub techniques and sterile field management
- Knowledge of vascular and cardiac surgery procedures and instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure surgical environments
- Strong communication and collaboration with surgical teams
