Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct and compassionate care to patients and families in a behavioral health setting
• Maintain a safe therapeutic environment grounded in trauma-informed principles
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Apply critical thinking and crisis intervention skills to support patients through psychiatric challenges
• Document care accurately and contribute to each patient's recovery journey
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed while delivering consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum one year of inpatient psychiatric nursing experience
• Current CPR certification
• Willingness to float and take on charge responsibilities
• Restraint reduction, de-escalation, and crisis intervention experience preferred

Education

• RN license in the State of Massachusetts required
• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of behavioral health and substance abuse treatment modalities
• Ability to build therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
• Effective communication and computer skills for electronic medical records
• Crisis management, time management, and team-building expertise
• Flexibility and creativity in managing stressful situations calmly and professionally
