Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care for patients awaiting placement from the emergency department
Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence
Titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders
Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless transitions for patients moving to med/surg/tele units
Support ED staff with vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when needed
Float to med/surg/tele and overflow units across campuses as census requires

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong cardiac telemetry background preferred with at least 2 years experience
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (2 attempts allowed)
Comfortable with a pass/fail SIM lab on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Titratable drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Dysrhythmia recognition and management
Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
Floating across multiple units and campuses
