Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to PCU patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
Monitor and titrate intravenous drips including Cardizem, beta blockers, and seizure medications
Perform continuous EEG monitoring and interpret findings
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of cardiac, neurological, and endocrine conditions
Proficiency in titrating IV drips
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
