Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Block scheduling, 40 hours per week, includes every other weekend and holiday rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for acute medical, surgical, and ICU patients
Facilitate early mobilization and determine mobility status
Assess patient safety for discharge home or transfer to rehabilitation units
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Work independently while utilizing available COTA support

Qualifications

Current Colorado Occupational Therapy license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Experience in acute inpatient care including Med/Surg and ICU
Ability to work independently and manage caseload of 8-10 patients per day
Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills

Knowledge & Skills

Acute inpatient occupational therapy evaluation and treatment
Early mobilization and functional assessment techniques
Knowledge of CVA, neuropathy, and general weakness interventions
Discharge planning and safety assessment
Collaboration with COTAs and rehab team
