Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process in a Med-Surg setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans
- Utilize advanced critical thinking to adapt to changing patient needs
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and standards of nursing practice
Qualifications
- Active Alaska state RN license required
- Minimum of 3 years Med-Surg experience with strong critical thinking skills
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Willingness to complete medication testing upon arrival
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in Meditech, OBIX, and Pyxis Supply Stations
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
- Knowledge of nursing process and primary nursing principles
