Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns, managing a 1:1-2 nurse-to-patient ratio during labor and 1:2-3 postpartum
Administer and titrate critical medications like Magnesium, Oxytocin, and pain management drips
Monitor fetal heart tracings using OB Trace Vue and respond promptly to any changes
Support mother-baby couplets with postpartum care, including medications and education
Collaborate with surgery team during C-sections by circulating for the baby
Float to the ED for 1:1 sitting as needed, ensuring patient safety across units

Qualifications

Current RN license in North Dakota or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (must be current)
Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience
Ability to pass fit testing for N95 masks (no facial hair that interferes with mask seal)
Comfortable working independently in a rural hospital setting

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
Proficiency in titratable drips and set-rate infusions
Experienced with neonatal respiratory support (CPAP, BiPAP, high flow)
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, limited-resource environment
