Location: Burien, Washington

Start Date: 06-29-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Block scheduling (12-hour shifts), every other weekend, holiday rotation (1 summer and 1 winter holiday)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care to Level 2 NICU infants and postpartum mothers
Attend deliveries as the baby nurse to ensure safe transition
Administer and monitor titratable drips such as D5W and TPN
Perform IV starts and maintain IV access
Assist with umbilical line placement and maintenance
Flex between SCN and postpartum assignments as needed

Qualifications

Current NRP and BLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years experience in Level 2 NICU and postpartum nursing preferred
Proven ability to attend deliveries and care for newborns
Experience with Bubble CPAP, High-flow oxygen, and ventilator management prior to transfer
Comfortable titrating drips and managing TPN and D5W
IV start and maintenance proficiency

Knowledge & Skills

Neonatal resuscitation expertise
Postpartum care and couplet nursing skills
IV therapy and maintenance
Respiratory support with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow
Ability to flex between NICU and postpartum units
Strong communication and teamwork
