Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Start Date: 06-15-2026
End Date: 09-14-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: 8-hour day shifts with rotating on-call after 4:30 PM weekdays, rotating weekends and holidays
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging studies including cardiac, SPECT, bone scans, bleed studies, and gastric emptying
- Ensure high-quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care
- Operate GE equipment and utilize Radnet and Merge Unity for PACS and EMR
- Collaborate with radiologists and lead tech to optimize department workflow
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to safety protocols
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of nuclear medicine experience
- Active California Nuclear Medicine Technologist License (CA NMTL)
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with GE equipment, Radnet, and Merge Unity
- Proficient in cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, and gastric emptying
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging techniques and radiation safety
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in EMR and PACS systems
- Attention to detail for accurate image acquisition and analysis
