Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including those with CHF, COVID, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, and post-cath or total joint replacement
Interpret telemetry strips at least once per shift and document rhythm changes
Administer set-rate cardiac drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and interdisciplinary teams
Float to East Campus or PCU when needed
Participate in self-scheduling and unit balancing

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Must pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% within two attempts
Experience reading basic tele strips required
Cerner experience strongly recommended
Total joint replacement experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Medical-surgical nursing including post-surgical and cardiac care
Patient assessment and critical thinking
Team collaboration and communication
Time management in a fast-paced environment
