Sonographer - General/OBGYN

Location: Durango, Colorado

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4 ten-hour shifts, variable days, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM; weekend coverage as needed; call 1-2 nights per week and every 3rd weekend

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality general, OBGYN, and vascular ultrasound exams
Assist with procedures including drains and biopsies
Operate Phillips ultrasound equipment and manage EPIC/Fuji PACS
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure exam completeness
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to provide excellent patient care

Qualifications

Active ARDMS certification (RDMS in General or OBGYN required; RVT preferred)
Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
At least 1 year of recent ultrasound tech experience
Procedural experience (drains, biopsies) highly desired
Willingness to float? No – you stay in your department

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in general, OBGYN, and vascular sonography
Experience with EPIC and Fuji PACS systems
Skilled in operating Phillips ultrasound equipment
Strong understanding of sterile technique for procedures
Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
