Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, rotating; every 3rd weekend; 3 of 6 major holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Manage complex cases including premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, and surgical patients
Assist with ECMO and cooling therapies as part of a multidisciplinary team
Perform and maintain competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes under sterile field
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and respiratory therapists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Monitor patients using Phillips telemetry and document in Cerner EMR

Qualifications

Current RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 3 years of NICU Level 4 experience required
BLS and NRP certifications required; Cardiac STABLE certification preferred
Previous travel experience preferred
Competency in sterile field techniques and SIMs Lab skills
Ability to float to Mother Baby and Labor Care (baby-only assignments)

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in caring for neonates with complex medical conditions
Proficiency in Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
