Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 06-13-2026

End Date: 09-12-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM; every third weekend required

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and treatments for acute inpatient patients
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for conditions such as general medical deconditioning, TKA, THA, spinal surgery, orthopedic, and CVA
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team in Medical/Surgical, ICU, and ER units
Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises and home programs
Document patient progress accurately and timely

Qualifications

Active California Physical Therapy license
BLS certification required
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience required
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in electronic medical records
Knowledge of acute care rehabilitation protocols
