Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedule determined by manager (block scheduling not guaranteed), every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care for a diverse patient population including CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and medical-surgical telemetry cases
Monitor telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient condition
Administer medications, titrate drips as needed, and collaborate with healthcare team
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
Float to all med/surg units as needed, ensuring continuity of care

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
Excellent communication and time management skills
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
Experience in med/surg or telemetry nursing preferred
Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking
Effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
Proficiency in electronic health records
Adaptability to floating between units
Time management in a fast-paced environment
