Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, weekends and holidays as scheduled

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population including medical/surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients
Titrate and manage IV drips such as Heparin, insulin, and octreotide
Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms
Collaborate with charge nurses, patient care techs, and unit secretaries to ensure smooth patient flow
Work efficiently in a fast-paced unit with frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges
Float to Med/Surg, ICU, or ED as needed based on skill set

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Valid driver's license (required at submittal for radius verification)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Must live outside 50 miles of the facility and not currently employed by CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity
Ability to pass an open book exam on orientation with 90% or higher
No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Experience with telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
Proficiency in titrating cardiac and IV medications
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to adapt to a high-volume, fast-paced environment
