Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 hours), rotating weekends (6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) and holidays as needed

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care across multiple medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Float within a 60-mile zone covering five facilities: Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More
• Titrate heparin drips and manage patients with cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and other conditions
• Serve as charge nurse when needed - leadership opportunities available
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
• Adapt quickly to different units and patient populations
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with providers

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical/telemetry experience
• Active and unrestricted RN license in Colorado or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Prior neuro experience highly preferred
• Willingness to float across multiple facilities within the zone
• Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize care
• Proficiency in heparin drip titration and cardiac monitoring
• Experience with RT equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP) a plus
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Charge nurse experience preferred
