Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, including weekends (6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to a diverse PCU/IMC patient population covering cardiac, neuro, oncology, ortho, and more
Titrate and manage critical drips including dopamine, amiodarone, insulin, and heparin
Float across multiple units and facilities within a 60-mile zone to ensure staffing coverage
Conduct thorough patient assessments and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Adapt to fast-paced environments and handle varying patient acuities with confidence
Mentor and support team members while maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent PCU/IMC experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Proven experience with cardiac drips, insulin, and Ativan administration
Comfortable titrating medications like dopamine, dobutamine, and heparin
Prior neuro and Epic experience preferred
Active RN license in Colorado or compact state

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Expertise in cardiac care and drip management
Ability to float and adapt to different unit cultures
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency in electronic medical records, especially Epic
