Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift, Monday-Friday schedule with flexible start and end times

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and assess patients across pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Develop and direct individualized treatment plans based on identified needs and physician guidance
Administer occupational therapy modalities to restore function and prevent disability
Provide thoughtful supervision to assistants and aides while maintaining high standards of care
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and strategies for success
Collaborate with physicians, staff, and the care team to ensure seamless patient experiences
Maintain accurate documentation and department records to support quality care
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities

Qualifications

Active Occupational Therapist license in South Dakota
Minimum 1 year of experience in occupational therapy
Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Knowledge & Skills

Occupational Therapy techniques and modalities
Patient assessment and individualized care planning
Documentation standards and compliance
Patient and family education strategies
Supervision of therapy assistants and aides
Equipment operation and safety protocols
