Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care across multiple MS-Tele units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
Monitor and assess adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses from post-surgical care to stable long-term placement
Titrate Heparin drips and manage other medications within your skillset
Float within Zone 4 facilities to support staffing needs and deliver excellent patient outcomes
Collaborate with designated Charge Nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6
Respond to low-census call situations when needed and maintain flexibility to fill scheduling gaps

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Prior neuro experience preferred
Alaris pump and EPIC experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills across cardiac, neuro, and post-surgical populations
Ability to float between ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units as needed
Comfortable working with vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and telemetry monitoring
Excellent communication and adaptability in a float pool environment
