Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized care for patients with epilepsy, brain tumors, and traumatic brain injuries
Monitor 24-48 hour Trend EEGs and detect subtle neurological changes
Manage patients recovering from subdural hematoma and scoliosis surgeries
Collaborate with charge nurses and resource RNs to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Float to MS/Tele units and support sister campuses when needed
Maintain sterile technique during Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes

Qualifications

Active RN license with minimum 2 years of experience required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
BSN preferred; Med Surg/Tele certification a plus
Must pass dysrhythmia exam with up to 2 attempts
Clean-shaven appearance for men and natural hair color required for fit testing

Education

BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills to detect small patient changes
Ability to assess cranial nerves and recognize neurological changes
Competence in maintaining sterile field during procedures
Experience with Bipap management and tele monitoring
Comfortable floating between Neuro, MedSurg, and Tele units
