Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients across PCU and Med/Surg levels
Monitor and titrate drips including insulin and Cardizem while ensuring patient safety
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians
Float to same-level units to support patient care needs and build versatile skills
Deliver hourly rounding and patient education from diagnosis through remission or end-of-life comfort
Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and utilize Alaris pumps and specialty lift equipment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or oncology nursing experience
First-time travelers welcome
EPIC experience within the last 6 months preferred
Valid driver's license required at submission

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and hemodynamic monitoring skills including CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, and EV-1000
Comfort managing ventilators and common drips such as heparin, Cardizem, and chemotherapy
Ability to pass a 90% open-book skills exam during orientation
Team-oriented mindset with genuine compassion for diverse patient populations
Willingness to float within the same level of care and support colleagues
