Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients with secondary behavioral health needs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to telemetry alerts
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and the care team to support patients with mental health conditions in a medical setting
- Administer medications safely and maintain accurate documentation in Cerner
- Float to ED psych holds or MedSurg floors as needed to support hospital-wide patient care
- Ensure patient safety through video monitoring and appropriate use of chemical restraints when necessary
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum one year of MedSurg/Telemetry experience in a Level 1 trauma facility with 600+ beds
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Psychiatric experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with two attempts allowed
- Must successfully complete SIMs Lab skills assessment on day one of orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Comfort working with patients who have behavioral health needs in a medical unit
- Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
- Ability to maintain sterile technique during procedures
- Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to float as needed
