Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD on a busy 18-bed telemetry unit
Interpret telemetry strips and respond promptly to cardiac changes
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators to deliver excellent outcomes
Support patients using CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
Float to other med/surg units as needed while maintaining top-notch care standards
Build meaningful connections with patients through great communication and time management

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact license
Current BLS certification required
Strong telemetry strip interpretation skills
Excellent communication and time management abilities
Willingness to float to all med/surg units and work every other weekend plus holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Managing patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD
Comfort with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen equipment
Collaborating with PCTs and the interdisciplinary team
Adapting quickly when floating to different med/surg units
