Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:00 PM or 7:00 PM-7:00 AM), self-scheduled, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to oncology and medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced PCU environment
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for side effects
Titrate medications such as insulin and Cardizem as needed
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, social work, and case managers
Conduct hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Document accurately in EPIC electronic health record

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in PCU, oncology, or med-surg
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
EPIC experience preferred
Chemotherapy certified preferred
Driver's license required (for radius verification)
First-time travelers welcome

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of oncology patient care and chemotherapy administration
Proficiency in EPIC EMR
Ability to titrate cardiac drips
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Compassionate patient-centered care
Adaptability to floating between PCU and med-surg units
