Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to a diverse patient population, including 85% oncology and 15% medical-surgical/telemetry patients
Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, responding to changes in patient status
Administer chemotherapy and manage central lines, maintaining strict sterile technique
Collaborate with a dedicated team including charge nurses, PCTs, and SWAT RNs for complex IV access
Float to other MedSurg/Tele units as needed, ensuring continuity of care
Participate in SIMs lab competencies to maintain proficiency in critical skills

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
Chemotherapy certification strongly preferred
Minimum 2 years of oncology or telemetry nursing experience preferred
Comfortable with EKG interpretation and Cerner EMR

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in oncology nursing and telemetry monitoring
Skilled in EKG interpretation and using Phillips telemetry systems
Experience with central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertion
Knowledge of sterile field maintenance and infection control
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
