Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to a diverse patient population including oncology, PCU, and med/surg patients
Administer chemotherapy and monitor for reactions
Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem as ordered
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
Float to other PCU and med/surg units as needed

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent PCU, oncology, or med/surg experience
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
ONS/ONCC certification required
Chemotherapy certification preferred
EPIC experience preferred (training available)
Driver's license required for distance verification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Comfortable with chemotherapy administration and monitoring
Ability to manage multiple drips and hemodynamic monitoring
Teamwork and positive attitude - be the nurse you'd want to work with
Flexibility to float and adapt to different unit levels of care
