Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to neuro and telemetry patients on a 26-bed unit
Monitor and interpret EKGs while delivering expert cardiac and neurological nursing care
Collaborate with hospitalists, charge nurses, and respiratory therapists to optimize patient outcomes
Educate patients and families about neuro conditions, pulmonary issues, and recovery plans
Respond swiftly to changes in patient status and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry or neuro experience within the past 6 months
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong EKG interpretation skills
Ability to pass Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam (2 attempts max) and Sim Lab on day one

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in centralized telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Comfortable managing patients on Airvo/High Flow oxygen
Experience with neuro diagnoses including CVAs and general telemetry cases
Skilled in 1:3-4 patient ratios with support from PCTs and 24/7 pharmacy and RT
