Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple specialties
Float between MS-Tele, Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation units
Monitor and titrate Heparin drips while maintaining safe patient ratios of 1:5-6
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
Adapt quickly to new units and patient populations while upholding excellent clinical standards
Support patients through post-surgical recovery, cardiac monitoring, neuro assessments, and general medicine needs

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
Minimum 2 years of MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills across varied acuity levels
Flexibility to float within a 60-mile zone and adapt to changing assignments

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records preferred
Experience with Alaris pumps preferred
Neuro assessment experience is a plus
Comfortable reading telemetry strips and managing stable cardiac patients
Able to work independently while thriving in a collaborative float pool environment
