Registered Nurse - School Nursing
Location: Albany, Georgia
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, school hours during the academic year
Candidate Pay Rate: $32 - $22.4 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver direct skilled nursing care to students with complex medical needs
- Administer medications and physician-ordered treatments with precision
- Provide tracheostomy care, ventilator support, and emergency response
- Develop and maintain accurate nursing documentation and medication records
- Collaborate with families, physicians, and school staff to support IEPs and IHPs
- Monitor student health and respond swiftly to medical emergencies
- Train school personnel on emergency procedures and health protocols
- Ensure compliance with FERPA, HIPAA, and district policies
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience
- Pediatric, school, home health, or acute care experience preferred
- Ability to perform complex nursing procedures independently
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Must pass criminal background screening and district clearance
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Tracheostomy care and ventilator support
- Medication administration and seizure monitoring
- Catheterization and tube feeding procedures
- Pediatric and special education nursing practices
- Emergency response and interdisciplinary collaboration
- FERPA and HIPAA compliance standards
