Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, efficient emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Perform rapid triage and prioritize care based on acuity
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact-state privileges as applicable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred for ER practice
• Previous emergency department experience preferred but motivated new ER nurses are welcome
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and patient assessment skills in high-acuity settings
• IV insertion, medication administration, and emergency procedures
• Quick clinical decision-making and effective prioritization
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation and basic computer skills
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to work efficiently under pressure
