Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans based on physician orders and patient needs
Deliver therapeutic procedures and train patients in the use of assistive devices to maximize independence and functional potential
Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and adjust treatment plans in collaboration with the rehabilitation team
Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families to coordinate care and educate on therapeutic goals
Maintain compliance with the California State Practice Act and facility policies to ensure safe, ethical practice
Contribute to a positive rehabilitation environment under the direction of the Manager of Rehabilitation Services

Qualifications

Current California Occupational Therapist License (required)
Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
Ability to evaluate and treat patients using therapeutic procedures and assistive devices
Comfort working full-time daytime hours and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
Adherence to the State Practice Act and facility clinical policies

Education

Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

Patient evaluation and treatment planning
Therapeutic procedures and modalities
Training and use of assistive devices
Rehabilitation services and maximizing functional outcomes
Documentation, outcome tracking, and interdisciplinary communication
Knowledge of and compliance with State Practice Act requirements
