Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to ED holds waiting for placement on med/surg/tele units
Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias with confidence
Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders
Collaborate with the ED charge nurse and support staff to ensure seamless patient transitions
Float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and sister campus EDs as needed to support the team
Assist with ED patient care tasks including vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when requested

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong cardiac telemetry background with ability to read and interpret strips
Minimum 2 years of experience preferred in cardiac telemetry or med/surg/tele
Comfortable titrating cardiac drips and managing tele patients

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
Safe titration of drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Strong assessment skills for med/surg/tele patient populations
Ability to float between units and campuses with a positive attitude
Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
