Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with angiography, cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology and vascular procedures with precision and calm
• Provide hemodynamic monitoring and manage patients with pacemakers and IABP insertions
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and maintain clear EMR records
• Operate and monitor imaging and monitoring systems such as Sensis and Siemens
• Collaborate as a member of a 4-person call team to ensure 24/7 patient coverage
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post-procedure care, and expectations
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and radiation protocols during interventional procedures

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an interventional cath lab
• BLS certification required
• Prior experience with angiography, cardiac cath procedures, pacemaker and IABP insertion preferred
• Experience with Meditech EMR and monitoring/imaging systems (Sensis, Siemens) a plus
• Willingness and ability to take call, including weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures
• Proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and patient monitoring techniques
• Familiarity with interventional radiology and vascular procedure workflows
• Basic understanding of CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine principles
• Comfortable with radiology equipment, image processing and sterile technique
• Excellent communication, teamwork and critical thinking skills under pressure
