Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate cardiac telemetry care to patients recovering from MI, CP, and lung transplants
Monitor and interpret EKGs using Philips equipment while delivering safe, high-quality nursing care
Administer non-titrating drips and manage CPAP and high-flow oxygen therapies
Collaborate with a dedicated charge nurse and PCT support team to maintain excellent patient ratios
Float to sister telemetry units when needed, expanding your skill set across neuro and cardiac step-down
Complete required SIMs Lab training to master sterile technique for Foley and central line care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with up to two attempts
Must demonstrate sterile-field competency during orientation SIMs Lab
Clean-shaven for men and natural hair color to meet facility standards

Knowledge & Skills

Strong EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
Comfort with Cerner EMR and bedside PCs
Skilled in CPAP, high-flow oxygen, and non-titrating medication drips
Excellent sterile technique for Foley catheter and central line dressing changes
Adaptable to floating across multiple telemetry units
