Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered occupational therapy interventions under supervision
• Assist with assessments and carry out treatment plans to improve daily living skills
• Collaborate with the rehab team to support functional goals and safe discharges
• Document patient progress and communicate updates clearly and promptly
• Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies and home programs
• Contribute to a positive clinical environment by mentoring aides and supporting workflows

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential
• Eligible for or holding Montana state licensure/registration for COTA (verify state requirements)
• Minimum experience working in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Education

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL training, adaptive equipment recommendations, and therapeutic activities
• Comfortable with documentation standards for skilled nursing and rehab settings
• Ability to follow treatment plans and adapt interventions to patient needs
• Good clinical judgment, time management, and patient advocacy skills
• Familiarity with discharge planning and care coordination processes
