Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered bedside care to adult and/or geriatric patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to policy
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status in the medical record
• Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, educating them about care plans
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition promptly to the care team
• Adhere to infection control standards and facility protocols to keep patients safe

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN or RN license in Alabama (appropriate license required at hire)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required
• Comfortable working 12+ hour night shifts as a per diem team member
• Strong clinical judgment, reliability, and a patient-first attitude
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility health requirements

Education

• LPN: Accredited practical nursing diploma or certificate
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred for RN candidates

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience with medication administration and IV/SC care as applicable
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and accurate documentation
• Solid infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities
